This campaign helps the community and the environment alike, in several ways: it makes lower-priced goods available to shoppers, it reduces the volume of food waste and it helps retailers maintain their bottom line. It’s a real win-win partnership, since the participating retailers see their profile rise significantly among new target markets, especially local communities. Moreover, the app lets users donate their purchase to a charitable organization that will distribute its share to the homeless. Klépierre has already introduced the app in nine of its shopping centers across three European countries, and plans to expand its use for any interested mall.
