Val d’Europe: bigger than ever
The extension project in the heart of the Val d’Europe shopping center, is organized around a monumental square overlooked by a majestic glass roof and will be supervised by architect Dominique Hertenberger and the firm Lobjoy & Bouvier.
The stores, partially over two levels, will be promoted by an architectural concept in line with that of the current shopping center: the Halles Baltard, Eiffel and 19th-century Paris. The shopping center will sit above the TGV lines, by the Cours du Danube.
In 2016, 25 stores larger than 16,000 sq. m will join the 150 stores in the existing 120,000 sq. m. The parking capacity will also be increased to cater to the site’s ever increasing number of customers. The first work will begin at the start of 2014 for a planned opening in 2016.
