A strong activity for nearly all centers

KLÉPIERRE IN SWEDEN

IN SWEDEN, KLÉPIERRE OWNS 5 SHOPPING CENTERS WITH 640,394 sq.m OF GROSS LEASABLE AREA AND A VALUE OF MORE THAN 1,200 MILLION EUROS.

Ideally located in the heart of the Øresund, a dynamic region with 3.6 million inhabitants, Emporia is home to around 200 retailers and restaurants. In Sweden, the economic and demographic prospects remain promising, particularly on the western coast and in the Stockholm region. The Swedish capital, which is home to 40% of the country’s population, has a potential business growth of €3.4 billion within the next 10 years.

Emporia, a model of urban integration

Built as part of a major urban development project, the easily accessible Emporia shopping center is a structural element for the region. The hugely successful center attracted 4 million visitors within the first 6 months. Sales figures are on the rise as retailers are keen to set up there. Emporia has a promising future, just like the rapidly developing Allum shopping center in Gothenburg, which attracts some 5.6 million visitors a year.

Thriving projects

Other projects are planned, such as the Nya Galleria in Kristianstad, located in a high potential catchment area in the south of Sweden and covering a total surface area of 28,500 sq. meters. Business in Sweden is up by 2.1% in almost all shopping centers. This success is representative of Klépierre’s presence both in Sweden and throughout Scandinavia.

Steen & Strøm awarded for its shopping centers

Klépierre’s Scandinavian subsidiary was awarded the title of best retail property developer in northern Europe by the magazine Euromoney in its 8th international property survey, a further advantage in attracting a wider public and increasingly demanding retailers.
