The Montebello shopping center is located between Milan and Genoa, only 10 minutes away for the 40,000 residents of Voghera, and 30 minutes from Pavia and its population of 72,000. When it first opened in 1974, the center consisted of a hypermarket and a few stores, but Montebello really began to take shape in 1991 with the addition of around 30 more retail units. A major new extension in 2008 increased its retail floor area to 10,000 sq.m. and doubled the number of retailers. The center now attracts 5.3 million visitors every year—that’s an average of 19,000 people every day who come to enjoy Montebello’s comprehensive retail offer, its welcoming restaurants and its high-quality services.
